The delimitation of maritime boundaries in the north-east Asian Sea where fierce competitions for the exploitation of oil and natural gas are taken place is still not settled, which is one of the factors to elevate tensions among Korea, China and Japan. Such a situation should be overcome by delimiting the maritime boundary of jurisdiction as soon as possible by three states.
Korea, China and Japan should delimit still-unsettled maritime boundaries of jurisdiction taking international law and the spirits of amity into consideration, which will open the era of the North-East Asian maritime Community.
The fact that Dok-Do is Korea's territory both in historical aspect and legal aspect has been proven through a lot of materials such as historical documents and ancient maps including foreign materials.
Japan should cease to argue his groundless claim to Doc-Do based upon the past imperialistic colonialism and to eliminate the potentiality of conflict, and ultimately restore real relations of cooperation and prosperity between two states.
These positive changes could provide North-East Asia with the foundation for the multinational peace and security as in Europe.
