The depleting resources for landscape in the city and suburban areas from poorly planned and implemented land developments call for improvement in governing policies on landscaping and further revisions in related legislations and regulations. The disciplines for landscape research requires urban planning, environmental policy and public administration on top of traditional emphasis on landscape, architecture and design.
The governing policies on efficient and effective management of landscape resources must be designed based on harmonious workings between landscaping, development planning, land use planning and environmental policies and improvement of related laws and institutions.
Efficient landscape management can only be achieved when well designed legislations and administration system are in place. Accordingly, this study focuses on analysis of landscape administration and management to pursue efficient and effective landscape management and harmonize other land development plannings with landscaping in the regions of Kyonggi Province.
