Nowadays there are some changes in educational environment by using online system that has no limit of time and space. Especially as web-based internet serves many things - not only text information but vocal and visual information is provided as real time services on the internet - a lot of applied materials for Japanese education is appearing. It is rare that these systems are served in local PC and most of them are used in the web-connected computer regardless no matter where the users are.
But when these educational system is implemented, these can cause some problems. One of them is breaking the Japanese letters. So it is necessary that be corrected. In this study, I will examine the expressions of Japanese letters in the past and the cause of letter-breaking problem. And then I would like to suggest the way to cope with them. It can be used as the important information when we build the Japanese educational system based on web environment.
