This study aims to analyze the ambivalence of 《A Festival in Maeng Family》 and 《A Bae-Baeng-I Ritual》, which is a scenario of Oh Young-Jin written in Japanese. 《A Festival in Maeng Family》 and 《A Bae-Baeng-I Ritual》 has been rejected for the reason that it was written in Japanese, or through a different version, it has been overvalued for the reason of the "representation of tradition". Although the two evaluations were based on "Nationalism", the deductions have provided the opposite evaluations. This is probably because there has not been any sufficiently accurate analysis about the accuracy of the standard of the evaluation or the internal and external logics of the text. Therefore, this study intended to identify in which context the ambivalence of 《A Festival in Maeng Family》 and 《A Bae-Baeng-I Ritual》 in the late Japanese ruling period has been mutually communicated. First, the study focused on the imperfection of the significance that is revealed throughout diverse tiers. While focusing on the absence of communication occurring between characters and the imperfection of language that appears as the word" revealing Korean emotion are "translated" into Japanese, the study searched for the otherness of language possessed by the "Japanese scenario". Through this, the study assumed that after all the otherness of language may be connected to the mechanism of the pleasure of readers. In other word", "Something of Joseon" that could not be translated nor could be identified as Japanese may be a device implying a trace of "resistance" or gesture of "refusal" despite the significant implication of suppression as "literature written in Japanese".
