웹 2.0의 도입과 함께 블로그의 수가 기하급수적으로 늘고 있다. 블로그에서는 검색, 분류등 서비스를 위하여 태깅이라는 개념과 폭소노미라는 새로운 형태의 분류체계가 등장하게 되었다. 태그는 누구나 쉽게 작성할 수 있고 변화에 빠르게 대응할 수 있는 장점이 있으나 체계적이지 않으며 객관성이 결여되어 있다는 문제점도 있다. 이런 문제를 해결하기 위하여 본 논문에서는 TFIDF (Term Frequency Inverse Document Frequency)를 통해 키워드를 추출하고 블로그의 특성을 반영하여 정렬함으로써 자동으로 태그를 추출하는 FAT (Filtering for Auto Tagging) 모델을 제안하였다. 제안한 모델을 Visual C++ 6.0으로 구현하고 2007년 국내 상위 블로그를 대상으로 블로거가 작성한 태그와 FAT 기법을 적용한 태그를 추출하여 비교하였다.
