In this paper, the author intends to examine that the relationship of the two generations and the change of care pattern for the aged through two novels written in 1970s and 1990s.
The result showed that there is no difference between these 20 years. Although the number of social facilities for caring and the needs of caring has markedly increased in recent years, it is still depending on the main caregiver who is a female person of the families and caring at their home. And the children or siblings of the caregiver did almost nothing for the care work.
On the other hand, it can generally be said that the family care patterns are changing mixing with the social care programs and some family members, usually it is her husband, be a sub-caregiver.
