To implement ‘context' of the educational contents in the revised (2007) Korean language education curriculum, the direction was explored. First of all, it examined by dividing the meaning in ‘context' into the general context and the one of being emphasized in the educational contents of the Korean language education. It tried to explore by referring to relationship with other 'knowledge' and 'skill' out of the category of educational contents.
Based on it, there was the proposal for the direction in order to design teaching-learning in the Korean studies such as teaching- learning that learners feel significance and interest, teaching-learning of emphasizing learners' experience of performing language, teachinglearning of being fully reflected the context of life in each individual of learners, teaching-learning of stressing reflective thinking about process of performing language, teaching-learning of being emphasized conversation and mutual subjectivity, and teaching-learning that the learnt knowledge is practiced and expanded.
