Woojuk-Ga (Encounter with Robbers) and Cheoyong-Ga (Song of Cheoyong) In Latter Shilla Dinasty have individual emotion of humor and tolerance. They are the same quality because of intension to the universalism. And they also have differences to be compared.
The first half of Woojuk-Ga shows immense amount of labor of lyrical subject. He efforts to stop a gap between his heart and figure. The latter half is composed of repetition of structure to take care of both lyrical subject : the author and the receivers. The receivers can be observed in the context with this, and also internalize intension of the first half. So they go to the Woonsangwon (Service of music education) with the author. Through the receivers' understanding, we can guess they are 'the men of culture'. So the author can consider their agony and spoke humorously.
The tolerance of Cheoyong-Ga is the emotion of the author as an imperfect national priest. He is tolerant at the loss of both his personal and public. Considering his age, it may be the spirit of the times. Then we can say that the lyric subject is expanding to the social horizons.
The humor and the tolerance are lyric emotion of great meanig. They are internal value from the lyric subject and the object, and external from the political background. From this, they can be valued as the pointing to the Universalism.
