The purpose of this research is to classify the consumption characteristics in leisuresports activities based on Holt's four consumption characteristics, and to examine the importance and satisfaction level according to the consumption characteristics in leisuresports activities by applying IPA.
Those who live in Seoul or the Metropolitan area and have experienced leisuresports activities are selected as the population of this research. After carrying out the convenience sampling method, in which only available data are collected, and self-administration survey, 183(76.3%) questionnaires are collected as the final valid sample.
As a result of analyzing the general importance and satisfaction level as to the consumption characteristics in leisuresports, 'for fun'(4.26) and 'for recreation'(4.14), which mean consuming as experience, and 'for pleasure'(4.02), which means consuming as play, account for more than average value 4.0 in the importance level, but not in the satisfaction level after experience compared to the importance level. As for the priority of the importance and satisfaction level, 'for recreation' shows high level in both levels, though the average values are different. However, in all the results, the satisfaction level is not so high as the importance level, which means that the proper strategy should be devised for this.
