There are 2 TV dramas, 〈Windy garden〉 and 〈Beethoven Virus〉, that are aired at the same time on Wednesdays. Both are imaginative fabrication based on facts and competing for audience rating.
Several tens of hours of images are made up and expanded from a single line in the historical recordings of the Annals of the Choson Dynasty and a single page of essay on the experience of a member of orchestra. Era of faction has been opened. This study looks into the movie 〈Miindo〉 and 〈chuihwaseon〉, 〈Klimt〉 which are based on facts particularly on culture among history, by comparing them with the original works, and the reasons for the differences in the contents of text and the movie & drama. That is, inquiries are being made on the ultimate resaons for creation of image contents by capturing the cultural aspect of the history. This illustrates that an entertainer is at the center of all of this. Their life style of living a unique and peculiar life different from ordinary people has become the subject of interest of many people, and there had been numerous episodes surrounding them as they have lived life that is not ordinary and in the midst of attentions of others. In particualr, the fact that the creators (director and playwright) wanted to deal with historical fact as material that will induce apprehension or interest according to their point of view is one of the reasons. As they fumble with the material, they tend to disassemble or modify it as if it were a plaything. Such temptation gradually becomes heated as time passes, with the format or technique of reproduction also evolving.
Trend in 2008 displayed the phenomenon of ‘chivalous robber’ and ‘regression from Goguryeo to Choson.’ In particuolar, the TV drama ‘Iljimae’ was handled by 2 broadcasters simultaneously, reviving the competition between broadcasters of 〈Taewangsasingi〉, 〈Yeongaesomoon〉 〈Jumong〉, and 〈Daejoyoung〉 a year ago.
Faction has no option but to cling onto entertainment competition between the media and production companies as well as verified entertainer of historical material. Reasons include amplification of HD camera and possibility of reproduction of sharpness, conveyance of vivid sound, ustilizaiton of computer graphics for aspects that cannot actually photographed, and development of delivery system for message and dynamic scenes as we have entered the era of digitalization. In particular, the influence of success in conversion of the literary style and classical language used in daily life into the contemporary colloquial style since the production of 〈Damo〉 is quite enormous.
Such advancement in technology draws out entertainers of the Choson era into spotlight or relighting of stories of past heros. Accordingly, creators and producers will consider reproduction of characters that actually existed, which is the storybox within the cultural history as permanent "treasure chest" in order to reproduce imaginative reality for the TV and radio audiences.
‘Resonance’ of history and contemporary is ardently necessary as long as time continues to pass and as long as the amusement of life cannot transcend that of imagination. As Kim, Hong Do and Shin, Yoon Bok, and Klimt who pursue their own unique aesthetic values by eulogizing freedome, from the imaginative viewpoint of authors, were masters who, with similar cognition, were able to see new world, they have become the leading characters of ‘One-Source Multi-Use(OSMU).’ Simulation was the terminal that in fact provided time machine to both authors and audiences.
