The purpose of this study was to determine the critical variables in performing the Yamashita with 1/2 twisting vault. The subjects of this study were 8 females(4 highest scored, 4 lowest scored) participated in the Olympic Games. The vaults of subjects were analyzed using the DLT method of three dimensional cinematography. the conclusions were as follows.
1. The higher scored, the shorter time during the BC phases.
2. The higher scored, the longer time during the PRO, TOTAL vaulting phases.
3. The higher scored, the larger vertical/horizontal displacements during the PRO phases.
4. There is no significant correlation in the vertical/horizontal velocity with the score acquired.
5. The higher scored, the smaller angle between velocity of center of mass and the Y-axis.
6. The higher scored, the larger angular momentum of wholebody center of mass with respect to the X-axis in all events.
7. The higher scored, the smaller angular momentum of wholebody center of mass with respect to the Z-axis in LD event
