The sea literature's central idea is sea itself. However, one reconsiders stereotypical ideals of a sea and a memory upon encountering such originality. Moreover, one should not examine the sea as one examines the land and should reconsider the components of the memory. Memory does not tell us the truth and the experience itself. During such mutual acts, memory just helps to approach the cognitive structures in a nerve system. The memory laid out in the work is not a simple preservation, but it is a power that reconstructs the past in the present point of view. So, when a situation and an incident are specifically recognized, men's unreliable memory leads to amazing results.
Sea serves as a main stage of the sea literature. Sea is not limited to the physical level. The work spiritualizes the sea and integrates the interaction of the life and the sea. Describing the sea in the literature cannot only about the sea itself. The sea comes up with a story. The sea, without the story, is just a material. The true sea literature tolerates the life of men.
True nature of a work, which deals with lives of existences live with a sea, is hard to tell just by knowing where these existences lived and where they headed. Odyssey Discourse cannot be separated with physical matters. Thus, even though the story focuses on the sea, other matters like wind that took them, stars that led them, and a girl in a dream are all in the story. They not only have thoughts about God who they rely on, but they also are afraid of on their journey. We cannot x-ray how similar these are with a mark of our memory and how much of these are saturated in our life. The sea of literature, which is harmonized with life, can be said as not an identical repetition but a repetition of difference and an argument.
