The purpose of this study is to introduce the integrated planning measures for residential land redevelopment in Korea. The integrated planning measures in urban planning is to integrate social, ecological and physical planning factors to cultivate a sound environment socially and naturally. As a model for integrated planning measures, the legally binding land-use plan(Bebauungsplan) in Germany was reviewed. In establishing the Bebauungsplan in Germany, special consideration had been given to the protection, conservation and development of natural environment and landscape. Also, as the plan was established with a goal to provide people with healthy living and working conditions, it played an important role in residential renewal projects in Germany. In contrast, the District Plan in Korea plays a very limited role in residential renewal projects. It pays little attention to the improvement of social and natural environment in project areas. Therefore, the District Plan should be improved by some integrated planning measures such as the Social Plan and the Ecological Plan as included in the Bebauungsplan for residential renewal projects in Germany. Especially, the Social Plan could played an important role in minimizing socially adverse effects on the personal living conditions. The central government and municipalities should offer financial assistance for the establishing of the Social Plan and Ecological Plan.
