The wood-block-printed books of Dosanyuggok(陶山六曲) that were modeled on the manuscript written in Toegye(退溪)'s own hand are handing down until now. Also, even the reprinted books and the wood-blocks of reprinted edition are handing down until now. And except the wood-block-printed books of Dosanyuggok(陶山六曲), their so variant texts of various kinds are handing down until now. Accordingly, what those following works are demanded: (1) to make a thorough investigation into the existing wood-block-printed books and to pass judgment on their fineness; (2) to find out the nearest wood-block-printed book to the manuscript written in Toegye(退溪)'s own hand; (3) to make a definite decision upon the original text to study of the Dosanyuggok(陶山六曲) as a literary work.
To the wood-block-printed books of Dosanyuggok(陶山六曲), up to the present, we are ever so much assuming an easygoing way of attitude. Even if it were so the wood-block-printed books of Dosanyuggok(陶山六曲) that were modeled on the manuscript written in Toegye(退溪)'s own hand, but we ought to catch hold and make an estimate of a certain kind of their qualitative transitions came up already or come up possibly, from all the while that the manuscript written in Toegye(退溪)'s own hand was transformed into a bunch of wood-blocks formerly and the wood-block-printed books were drew out from the wood-blocks repeatedly.
On this demand, we compared the philological nature and value of four wood-black-printed books of Dosanyuggok(陶山六曲) belonging to Jangseogak(藏書閣) collections in The Academy of Korean Studies(韓國精神文化硏究院) with one wood-black-printed book of Dosanyuggok(陶山六曲) belonging to The National Central Library of Korea(國立中央圖書館) collections, found out the nearest wood-black-printed book to the manuscript written in Toegye(退溪)'s own hand, and as a result of this, attempted to make a definite decision upon the original text to study of the Dosanyuggok(陶山六曲) as a literary work. Final results are added to the end of this paper as an appendix. Please, refer to the appendix.
