Since the Dangun establishment, Korea has developed much to science technology, civilization with their own ideas. The development about ancient paper manufacture technology, astronomy, medieval the art of printing, celadon porcelain, architecture, the rain gauge of modem times, agricultural methods, oriental medical science etc. well stood alone. Beginning modern times, traditional science technology development was visible by realism
But the latter half 19st century, enlightenment wave of Korea led to the black clouds about traditional science technology. The western science technology of Japanese imperialism engrossed in their the plot to aggression and the commercial profit pursuit. So they prevented modernization of traditional science technology that Korean could do by own strength. Changing procedure to colony was progressed in situation like came flooding back consume goods. Also Korean couldn't build up industry revolution by themselves. Without saying it was like make a pretense of enlightenment, civilization, modernization. The end of it was subordination of colony.
Fetters of colony by japanese rule had brought about extinction on traditional science technology development. An amount of accumulation to traditional culture had reduced sharply. Korean children's education was inclined toward merely skill training through the slave teaching. Japanese imperialism had felt mad about prove of no ability to study science as a Korean. It was the core in a view of colonization. Then science technology education was monopolized by Japanese. By now Korean had been thought as science technology of Korea was insignificant.
Liberation had inherited the train of tradition once more. The opening part, the Korean War was connected with bad situation. But evolved success of economy development policy from 1960th had achieved strength of foundation about science technology development. Presently industrialization was too late, but the national spirit with an information oriented had guided properly position. The Semiconductor, CDMA, etc. came up surface of the world leader. At last it has ranked among 10 nations of the world in fact as well as in name.
