Changes in rural areas and in scholarly work on rural women raise the question of how to define "rural" and "rural women". During several scores of years. a fruit of theoretical work on rural women. it is recognized women who engaged in farming as agricultural producer. So nowadays. they are called "agricultural women or women farmer". But they don't be treated on the same footing with their roles. For example. it is specific described the definition of rural women who they are. in laws and policies related to agriculture or gender equality. So. this review is focused on the definition of women who work at their farm. Because these papers including the topic are scarcely, this paper will be very useful document for promotion of rural women's status in the agricultural or other laws.
The scholars and the specialists come out in sympathy with the view of rural women who are classified into several groups such as farm housewife. independent producer. agricultural partner or woman farmer, agricultural helper or working farrnwife. and so on. But the criteria of these classified groups are not explained clearly. Compared with other countries of Europe. we have poor conceptions and social or lawful systems involving women in agriculture. Therefore. for the future. various studies on these criteria are needed.
