The purpose of this paper is to figure out the special feature of Gwon Seop's Sijo. Gwon Seop's works were well known for the process of selecting objects by a logic condensation, various poetry conversations, the use of dialogue style and the colloquial style entitle. The mainstream of his korean poetry was Yeonsijo(연시조) where he developed a new style of expression. Among 75 pieces of Korean lyrics he left, 57 pieces of them were Yeonsijo.
In this paper, I tried to analyse some of his works like 〈Byung Joong Young Bun Do Hwa Sam-jhang(병중영분도화 삼장)〉, 〈So Ui Ho Saa-jhang(소의호 사장)〉, 〈Dok Ja Wang Yu Hee O-young(독자왕유희오영)〉. I observed that those poems were written as detective approach by him. Gwon Seop's way of observation was very unique as he focussed mainly on specific things of this world and described them in accurate and realistic manner.
So, I concluded that his ability of writing on Yeonsijo was strictly based on his investigative concept of the materialistic world. Moreover, if we looked into his other works such as Yusangi(유산기) we could revealed his investigative view of writing.
