A brief glance at the conditions of women in Africa, and in most parts of the world, shows that women are victims of denigrating acts of violence. Violence against women is a manifestation of historically unequal power relations between women and men. Another glance at women's relations indicates that women can be cruel, ruthless and violent against other women. The purpose of this paper is to describe and attempt to understand the attitudes and behavioral patterns of women towards other women in Africa. This paper explores ways to the emergence of critical consciousness and crafting of a transcending approach, so as to confront the relationship women have with other women in order to face this crisis with militancy and reinforce sisterhood that will lead to transformation in and outside our societies. While education and socio-economic empowerment are some of the key answers to female inequalities, women happen to be the ultimate weapon against all inequalities perpetrated against them. Changing the status quo coincides with changing attitudes.
