Recently, the field of Korea modern literature is being extended in to the field of cultural studies. For exemple, the relationship of modern literature and thought movement, the circumstances of media publication such like literature and art magazines, the modern literature systems, the censorship, the relationship of literature and other arts etc. These shows up the extension of modern literature search. This cultural studies show a marked trend to not so much the research of documentary records, literary text as the research of intertextuality between literature and other texts with its' similarity codes. Then, ’the research of daylife’ and the research of mass culture belong to the cultural studies.
This point of view, this thesis tries to research the relationship of the dance and literature, the dancer Jo, Taik- Weon and the poet Jung, Ji-Young 1930’s. I think, this research will help to interpretate the Jung' s poem, ’Yusunaesang(流線哀傷)’, which has been regarded as a cramped poetry by researcher.
So I think, it is necessary to introduced this method of cultural studies into literature research.
