The idea of household management is a more important thought which affects the cultural spirit of China. In our ardent Chinese thinkers' notions, the idea of household management is the foundation of governing people and country. Thus, the ardent thinkers all put a lot of emphasis on elaborating the idea of household management. In the different ideas of household management in ardent China, the idea of advocate amity was the roost basic and important one among them. This essay quotes plentiful of the roost typical datas, discussing the idea of advocate amity in Confucianism, Daoism, Mohism and Legalism. Meanwhile this eassay discusses the advocate of amity in household management detailedly in several aspects, such as the connotations, the external forms, inner feelings and a few kinds of approaches for achieving the family harmony. So the eassay makes an important role in studying the idea of household.
