This study is conducted to show certain contents of the language education which is developed in the light of the substance of language as an activity.
The first problem dealt with in the paper is a terminological confusion between language use and language activity. The term of language use is insufficient to embrace the complexity of language. Therefor the term of language activity has been suggested instead.
Next this paper gave some space to the explanation that language activity has three different dimension. These each are related with the diverse nature of language. And laughter shows an aspect of language activity which is hard to explain in terms of language use.
A laughter is not made by only the writer's purpose or strategy to cause a laugh but also the reader's response and selection to burst a laugh. The laughter which appears in the reply on internet is consequent on readers' pleasure of find-out and turn-over and pleasure of inclusion and exclusion. So analyzing the reply of serial comics on internet and the cause of its laughter could be the contents of language education to understand the language activity as a cultural midium.
