The purpose of this study is was to analysis the kinetic variables between the korea national elite groups(N=5) and the registered novice groups(N=5) during Curling delivery. In order to comparison of the kinetics variables, It is to analysis that the delivery time, the pressure distribution, the force distribution, the contact areas, the maximum force and the peak pressure. The collected datas were analyzed using PEDAR systems which is the pressure distribution measuring system. The statistics procedure of this paper was t-test and performed by SPSS(ver 12.0). The obtained conclusion were as follows:
In the % delivery time of P2, P3 and P5 between the delivery phase, The korea national elite groups showed larger than the registered novice groups. According to the force peak, the korea national elite groups showed higher than the registered novice groups in P4, P5. There were significant differences during the P4 that is the forward phase(p<.039). In the contact areas, the korea national elite groups showed larger than the registered novice groups in P1, P4 and P5. There were significant differences during he P5 that is the sliding phase(p<.017). The flat-footed slide is the recommended method of delivery because it provides for optimum balance by allowing the weight of the body.
Also, There were no significant differences in the pressure distribution and the peak pressure. However, in the mean level, the elite groups showed a higher than the novice groups in the P3, P4 and P5, respectively.
In conclusions, these results were interpreted to be the facts that the coordination of upper body, the cadence and the timing can be accounted for the effective and successful every curlers as the optimum delivery techniques.
