This research aims at main goals to actually get at the social relationship that the old can gain through their sports activity and at the same time, to define effects that the participation degree of their sports activity can influence on the social relationship.
The standard population for this investigation is old men and old women who live in Daegu now, 2003 and the total of 558 people is attentively chosen as an intensive sampling, considered a ratio of their sex, their history of education, and their participation degree of sports activity (strength, frequency, period).
On a basis of collected datum, here are results made conclusions after they are analyzed on the goal of this research.
First, a social support, a subparameter of the social relationship according to a social population background of the old is normal and the others, a contact range, a contact frequency and a degree of familiarity are low. The level of the social support of the population graduated from over high school is higher than that of the population under high school.
Second, the social relationship in the social support according to the participation degree of their sports activity appearto be relatively high in the population being for one to two year activity.
Third, a participation frequency, a subparameter of the participation degree of their sports activity has a negative correlation with a contact range. That is to say, that means that the higher the participation frequency is, the lower thecontact range is.
Fourth, the participation frequency has a negative influence on the contact range, while the participation periodhas a positive influence on it.
