In Modern poetry “The Aspect of Spatial Structure of Nakdong River has great significance. Nakdong River has reflected the evolution of long-time Korean history as it is, and it underwent the fetters and confusion of Korean modern history after going through liberalization and the Korean War. Such poetic experience through grass-roots does not remain at individual dimension. Such experiences expand the meaning to the property of time and historicity through various transformation and configuration procedures.
First, I observed the author's recognition aspects and response issue which is revealed through the spatial symbol “Nakdong River”.
Next, I examined the transformation aspect and its cause according to change of the recognition of the time and looked into the characteristics relevant to the spatial symbol.
The space “Nakdong River” specifies the existence meaning of the poetic subject.
Moreover, the social-cultural issue is linked to the author's new experiences and writing of poetry and thereby creating a unique spatial symbol which reveals poetic recognition. Through the spatial analysis of Nakdong River in Modern poetry, I discovered the relationships between time, poetic subject, subject and culture's spatial strategy and this played a significant role in formation of the poetry world.
