In the folktale 〈The servant who deceived his master〉 the servant snatched food from his master and dispose of master's horse. The master tried to kill the servant but he killed all the master's households but a daughter reversely.
In this paper I showed the social scenery rather concretely through historical materials. In late Chosun servants resisted their masters and attempted to escalate their social rank. I showed it in 〈SoeMiRok〉, a late 16 century diary by Oh HeeMoon, one of the members of the Masters, and other historical documents.
Some myths had on effect on this folktale, too. In the myths cheating is an evidence that shows the mental ability and competency of the subject. That told us why this tale stressed the cheating so much between the master and the servant.
And killing all the households of master's is a modification of some myths. In those myths the hero demolished all people of the region to construct new social order.
It seems that this folktale shows us a sample of modeling or prototyping mythically by transformation of individual and separate experiences of folks in late Chosun.
