Venture Companies have been regarded as attractive components of the modern economy that now surrounds us. because they pay relatively well. are growing rapidly and have a industrial information-network with other companies. thereby making them a part of the future economic competitiveness of country. But there has been a paucity of research documenting regional aspect in there recent development. This paper focuses upon the growth and location of venture companies which are the part of the hightech industry. Particularly, it has sought to analyze the spatial distribution and locational property of the venture companies.
Venture companies have grown rapidly, and strongly concentrated at Seoul metropolitan area, in Korea. And a further concentration occurs at the downtown area in Seoul, a degree of clustering ironic for the sector of the economy most impregnated by the information revolution, a evolution which in some respects has the capacity to annihilate space and the friction of distance altogether. They are concentrated in particular areas such as the existing core area, Kangnam area. And the corporate complex at Kangnam area has expanded as a new industrial district for venture companies rapidly.
These venture companies were surveyed to hope the construction of a new special industrial district in Kangnam area in Seoul or the suburbs of Seoul. But constructing the new special industrial district effectually. the close investigation and comprehend for the locational characteristics of venture companies is needed. because the spatial property of the venture companies is very unique.
