In this research, the major 14 national parks in Korea were re-mapped and analyzed for detecting the environmental characteristics on the Nature Presevation Zone (NPZ) and the Nature Environment Zone(NEZ). So the designation Goals, areal percentages to each zone and altitude, and the distribution of natural and historical resources were experimented. So we could make conclusions about the problems of the Zoning in Nature Park. First, the wholeness and stability concept of ecology has not been adapted for designating of NPZ. Secondly the historic factor was not considered the NEZ. So the following are proposed for zoning ordinace improvement in nature parks.
1. The NPZ be needed to be specified to 3 specified sub-zones, the Special Nature Preservation Zone. the Potential Nature Zone and the general Nature Zone for the ecological wholeness.
2. The NEZ also needed to be specified to 2 sub-zone ; the General Nature Environmental Zone and the Historic and Nature Environmental Zone.
3. The regulation concept of Rural Residential Zone in the nature park should be changed into preserving of the rural landscape. So it's name needed to be changed into the general rural landscape zone with mitigation of strict regulation. And the Development Complex Zone in the nature park should not be listed in the Zoning ordinance for nature presevation.
