The purpose of this study is to find out some characteristics concerning the principles for spatial organization of the wall cities in NAMWON EUPSEONG. The cities in period of the Three States faced and attacks from neighboring countries. As a result, the cities were surrounded by a protective wall. The wall cities have influenced on urban development process as a historical and geographical determinant at the now a days. Results of this study are as follows.
1. The possibility of wall city in NAMWON was suppoosed by the TONGILSINRA period formerly.
2. NAMWON EUPSEONG was constructed by a fortress in a strategic and defensive position.
3. The spatial organization was concerned with the influence of Confucianism from Ju peried in Chinese.
4. NAMWON EUPSEONG was based on a regular grid pattern (‘+’cross type), and due to used of the [Jeongjeon](井田法) is one of the technique for land subdivision from Chinese.
