This country lacking in natural resources is spuning on the development of hightech industries, so as to establish on advanced industrial nation.
In this context, the purpose of the development of technopolis is to realize the new form of human settlement that enables to maximize the efficiency of hightech industries, which new settlement form is compounded of industry, academy and housing funtions.
In this study, with the analysis of technopolis plan of Japan and industrial science parks of United states, eight regions have been examined by the hightech location criteria for Korea.
Also, three areas have been selected those are considered most suitable to develop technopolis in this country. This study is to provide the master plans of technopolis within these three areas.
