Construction industry has been trying to adapt the concept of manufacturing management for improving construction quality management. Although Lean and Six Sigma have been implemented for quality management which is intended to reflect customer needs in the manufacturing industry, it is still a relatively new concept in the building industry. This paper discusses the limitations of the current quality management in the construction industry and evaluates adaptation of Lean principles and Six Sigma. Last Planner System(LPS) in Lean construction and DMAIC methodology in Six Sigma are adapted to construction quality management to minimize waste and defects and ensure reliable quality planning and control. Finally, continuous improved quality management using Lean and Six Sigma are developed by the complementary management process of two concepts.
