The researches on the environmental friendly buildings have carried out on the materials, environmental property, technical elements and etc., and various buildings with these green materials have built and under construction nowadays and became a new trend of the green building. Recently, new building technique which builds the wall with the soil and wood and very easy to construct (called M Earthen House) was introduced as the green building and rapidly propagated. In this paper, the indoor environmental characteristics and the temperature controlling ability of these buildings in summer season were measured and analysed by the Indoor Air Quality measuring equipments. The results can be summarized as follows;
1. When the doors opened, the indoor air temp. was approximately 2℃ lower and 4.5 ~ 5℃ lower when the doors closed than the outdoor temp. in the rooms with volume. This showed the temp. controlling ability of these Earthen House was superior than the ordinary houses. But the ability was shown reduced when the volume became small.
2. The Relative Humidity showed very stable after the sudden increase caused by the temperature decrease, this also showd the ability controlling Relative Humidity is excellent too.
3. Radiative Temp. were shown lower when the doors were closed, it was thought that the radiation from outside was almost blocked by the walls etc., so the opened door became the main way to receive the radiant energy when doors opened.
