Since new period the development course of Chinese female prose is that of female individual spiritual promotion and artistic space extension. Just as the fate of Chinese women is always closely linked with Chinese history and society changes, the ideological emancipation, reforming and opening up to the outside world and cultural transition of Chinese society have made women's creativeness to glow unprecedentedly. The abrupt rise of female prose creation has historically carried forward the accomplishment that numerous female writers have achieved in the history of contemporary literature; besides, it has boldly assimilated the nutriment from western feminism trend of thought. It is plural, honour-shared and common creation by female writers of 5 to 6 generations. Woman's singing in praise spreads in infinite nature and society, its internal spiritual direction has also expanded and enriched increasingly, having a wide set-foot from society to heart, from true possession to fantasy, as well as all the field of deep layer of consciousness. Woman's manifold artistic exploration corresponds to her individual metal world that is internal, rich and true. Perhaps it isn't very successful and has hidden troubles, but it displays the breakthrough in traditional creation pattern and the moving toward more open visual threshold. Its distinct vigorous lively style of writing washes out the utility factor and the vulgar scent of former prose, has added brand-new sesthetic good taste , thus enriches the content of Chinese literature maximumly.
Since new period the development of Chinese female prose has brought literature new spiritual intension and artistic style. It enriches literature, also enriches woman self. That has gains and losses, and also left many space for one to aftertaste. This paper not only deciphers the development course of female prose in the new period, but also attempts to stand in a new historical starting point, to make a historical academic assessment on its overall creation reality and inclination.
