During 2001-02, most nations in Western Europe held a general election that has a common part: The coming into power of the Right wing and losing of power by the Left wing. This results in changing of ideology from 'Social Democracy' to 'New Liberalism'.
In the situation, the attitude of Western Europe's people should be watched in relations to the Right wing government in creating a deep change within Western Europe's society which has remained constant as a social democracy during last 50 years. Western Europe's people accept the change without complaint. Why? It seems because they understand the process of a better life and look for a suitable policy to reward their future.
With the British election of 2001, Blair and 'New Labour' came to power for the second time. Now I am concerned about the situation after the election. The name of their policies is called 'the Third Way' that represents neither the Right nor Left wings, Within the policy, Blair and 'New Labour' achieved a settlement and prosperity in British Society, despite that Britain had kept the policy of social democracy for last 50 years.
In this article, with the comparison of the policy between Britain and the Western Europe's nations, I thought of suitable policies in which Western Europe should implement. In conclusion, I expect that it will be 'the Third Way' and 'Post-Thatcherism'.
