The uniform is a distinctive outfit intended to identify those who wear it as members of a specific group and typically. the army uniform employs this concept. The traditional combat uniform is divided into two types: armors and combat uniforms for soldiers.
From the era of the three kingdoms to Chosun dynasty in Korea, The combat uniforms had been changed by weapons and tactics of each war. During the period of the Three Kingdoms, soldiers had worn daily clothes, pants and jacket. However, during Unified Shill a, in order to unity the nations, soldiers could be distinguished by their nationality and status using different colours in their jacket collar. In the Koryo Dynasty, they still used not only the different colours in their jacket collar, but also different colours in their vest collar. In the Chosun Dynasty, variations in colours of the collar had been disappeared. Soldiers wore a different colour sleeveless coat, which indicated their regiment.
It is found that the combat uniforms had been influenced by the type of the armor.
