The basis technology for production system which is represented design, machining, assembly and inspection is machining technology using such as CMC machine tool, etc. Direct numerical control that efficiently manages NC program for machining is developed to Distributed Numerical Control that be raised utilization of machining cell. It has ability of monitoring and control in real time for CNC and periperial equipments.
In this study, we have been developed Distributed Numerical Control system that has real time and multi-tasking operation suitable for machining cell with various CNC's. It is interfaced CNC machine tools and peripenal devices using RS-485 network and RS-232C communication method considering of economy, generalization and extension.
