In this paper. Koran dummy models are developed for the analysis of vehicle simulation with the MADYMO program. Until so far. the Hybrid III dummy model is most widely used for body modeling in vehicle crash, ride. and comfort simulation. Since the Hybrid III model is based on the American peoples, the results might be different when they are applied to the simulation of oriental peoples. Therefore, Korean dummy models are required for more accurate simulation and dynamic analysis.
The Korean dummy models are developed by scaling the body data of the Hybrid III to the body data of Korean men and women. For the Korean body data, the national anthropometric survey of Korea in 1997 was applied. The developed Korean dummies are tested in the simulation, and the simulation results are compared to the experimental data from the real cars on highways.
