The Questions of this study are as follows; Do the moral minorities resist? If do, what is the type of resistance? Can we call that resistance social movements? To answer these questions, this study deals with prisoners who are the worst minority morally. The actors of Korean prisons can be divided into two parts according to three aspects, the subject of behaviors, legality/illegality, justice/injustice. The space of Korean prisons are consist of interrelation of these variables.
By the way, prisoners are already skeptical about the legitimacy of punishments. And they recognize the effect of diverse resistance after looking the behaviors of political prisoners of conscience. Fundamentally the current criminal justice system in Korea(s.) has some defects that It correct prisoners by means of violence and coerce. Because the more fiequent violence and coerce require the more severe violence and coerce.
Now, it is not any longer that prisoners are dependent on the prison power in Korean society. This is certified with several prison-breakers and riots, and above all, is confirmed by the resistance in daily life of prisoners. So, prisoners are the independent variable that resist against the control of prison power and that effect the operation and transformation of the prison regime.
