This article examines lesbians' space in cyberspace Now their space can be divided into specialized culture space(webzine, site-for-creation), general culture space(web community), and off-line organizations' space. These web sites are designed to be spaces for generating and spreading lesbian culture, teaching sexual politics, and showing the politics of identity.
However, they have some problems despite their positive functions. First, they don't properly serve a public function as a common meeting ground, which is said to be the greatest advantage. This is a phenomenon in which just a few ID's have bulletin sections exclusively, or they put their own affairs up across boundaries disregarding the function of section. Second, ageism is easily found, for lesbians over 40 and 50 and adolescent lesbians are alinated.
In order to establish the identity of lesbian space, lesbians must get over the narcissism which makes them live just in the recognition of their identities in web communities, and then they must realize the politicizing of cyberspace which is available as a momentum for renovating real world.
