Data warehouse technology can be applied to the construction industry. Also, compared with William Inmon's criteria, we suggest that the principles and strategies for applying data warehouse technology to the construction industry through requirement analysis and modeling the business requirement (assumed as 'main concern') of the stakeholders in construction project. This technology can strengthen the competitiveness of the construction industry in the struggle environment for survival nowadays, enhance profitability and promote its valueadded. Although data warehouse technology is quite a new concept for construction industry, it has been prevalent in other industries since late 1990s, including the financial industry, manufacturing industry and other service industries. We found out that profitability and value-added in construction industry is closely related to contractors, who are suggested as the end user of the construction data warehouse that we propose. At the conclusion, we suggest ten principles and strategies for applying data warehouse technology to the construction industry, including the system architecture of the construction data warehouse.
