This study is the process for Modeling and visualizing of the old castle in Traditional Urban Area. The process for Modeling and visualizing is as follows. Firstly, classify by building/structure, street, area/block/terrain for modelling factors of traditional urban area, and models deciding each expression extent and method. Secondly, do it so that may simplify these modelling data arranging existent GIS Data so that can do efficient administration, and systematize hierarchical structure by Group-Object-Faced's grade of rank. Thirdly, express external appearance by image mapping among image base expression method for visualizing of the Cheongju old castle, and makes detail do application differently according to distance.
Hereafter, through modelling and visualizing Traditional Urban Area, this study become base of judgment for architecture conduct in Traditional Urban Area. Additionally we will can see old form of Chongju through restoration of the Cheongju old castle.
