The purpose of this study is to examine into the efficiency of
Elasto-Plastic finite element analysis method for steel beam
with a hole and to investigate what each arbitrary paramater
influences with the variations of that beam, due to the ultimate
load and the deformation shape.
These are shown at the tangential stiffness matrix Kt available
for elasto-plastic finite element analysis.
Existing test results in the previous study have been compared
with the ones from finite element analysis for limited length of
beam with the ratio of longitudinal-horizontal, r=2, including
hole for the analysis, using personal computer and found having
only 1.4% error.
