The Rigid Element Method has been suggested in order
to overcome analytical difficulties such as slip
movement, discontinuity of solids and connection
problems of precast large pannel in structural analysis.
In this study, it is proposed how the Rigid Element
Method can be applied to the elasto-plastic analysis
of structures, that is, precast walls, cylindrical
shell and spherical shell. The spherical bending
element, the cylindrical bending element and the plate
element suggested by this paper are applied to the
elasto-plastic analysis of above model. The procedure
of elasto-plastic analysis on limit analysis of
structures is proposed. Some numerical results such
as the distribution of stresses, the curve of
load-deflection and the yielding and fracturing pattern
of structures are shown.
