In the analysis of a thick shell structures, the transverse shear
effect must be considered. It means that Kirchhoff-Love hypothesis
is not utilizable in the analysis of a thick shell structures.
That is, classical approach which based on Kirchhoff-Love
hypothesis in F.E.M. is incongrous. In this paper, a finite
element equation is developed by Degeneration Approach to include
a large deformation and transverse shear effect.
Also, it is tried to analysis of a thick cylinderical shell under
the uniform internal pressure using the equation and Bilinear
Degeneration Shell (B.D.S) element. The result is represented in
this paper. Also that result is compared to classical shell theory.
