Recently steel deck plate and concrete have been used compositely
in building floor systems.Usually the formed metal deck is used as
a permanent form to carry the fresh concrete and serve as a
working platform. After hardening of th concrete, the metal deck
and concrete slab act compositely to carry the applied live loads
if the metal deck is provided with embossments to provide the
shear connection.The report presents the results of composite
simple beam tests for the purpose fo some clarification of
stiffness and behavior on partial composite bean with positive
moment subjected to vertical loads. The following conclusions
may be drawn from the investigation reported herein;
1)Composite beams with extremely low degrees of partial shear
connection are not unity and are considerably lower in stiffness
than beams with above 50% shear connection.
2) The transformed bending moment(Mp) of a composite beam with
parital shear connection;
