This Study showed the foundational materials for the improvement of the KS in building standardization through the observation of the establishment and revision of the KS and the KS's citation system which correlated with the foreign national standards. For the analyses of those standards, the basic items, which ISO established, were considered as the analytic standards, and their sub-items were projected by the relevant reference. As the result of this study, the direction of the improvement of the KS in building standardization must be led to collect the basic materials enough for the establishment and revision of the KS with sufficient the professional man-power, budget and time. And the contemporary issue of the discussion and the background during those days must be notified. And also when the standard is established or revised, the correlationship between the national standards and those of other counties must be made clear.
