The aims of this study are to supplement the standard for the
urban renewal areas in the Urban Renewal Act and to suggest the
hierachical methodology for setting the development stages.
The major results of this study are as follows:
1)To make the supplement of the current Urban Renewal Act, for
selecting renewal areas, it should be added several items such
as lot form, construction era, road ratio and floor area ratio.
on applying them to the C.B.D areas for case study, 26 blocks
except IV-16 and IV-17 block are selected to renewal areas.
2)The hierachial methology for development stages consists of 3
steps: first is the sorting stage to investigate congregating
characteristics among the blocks, second is the facter analysis
one to extract and interpret common facters of detail items of
standards, and the last is the evaluation stage. On applying
the hierachical methology to renewal areas, the first development
(II-7,III-9 block) are selected. The second ones (18 blocks),
and the third ones (6 blocks) are selected.
