Architectural space in CHONG MYO has a unique meaning on the
history of traditional architecture, because it represents
the sacrifical rituals through the architectural space. As the
arhitectural spacing in CHONG MYO originated in Feng-shui
traditional site development theory, it has a classical meaning
especially by the repetiton of simple design units.
With all these reasons, architectural space in CHONG MYO has
sublimity in visual spacing. This paper, as a part of the
study on the aesthestics in traditional architecture, tries
to find a design method, which can be contribute to the
development of architectual site planning in the future, by
concerning the study of aesthetical relationship to the symbol
and the metaphor in the visual spacing of building complex.
A plan of this operation is suggested by two major inductive
methods. The first step, in this basical study on the beauty
of the traditional architectural space inCHONG MYO, starts with
analyzing it's historical background, concerning the design
pattern relationship to sacrifical rituals in architectural design.
The second step, in the future study, tries to find a aesthetic
patterns on form and matter analyzing an architectural spacing
system in CHONG MYO, with visual perception of space, because
site planning according to distribution of visual angle supposed
to be analyzed the theory of projective Geometry.
