In this study, the structural safety and behaviors of the modular underground arch structure were evaluated depending on its span length using the structural simplified analysis method that simplified the three-dimensional structural analysis method for structural analysis and design of the modular underground arch structure. To this purpose, a two-dimensional structural analysis model which is relatively easy to construct and analyze the analysis model compared to the existing 3D structural analysis method that simplified the modular underground arch structure with a frame element was constructed for the modular underground arch structure with 10m span. The structural simplification analysis method using frame elements for its the structural analysis was checked its suitability for 10m span modular arch structure. A safety of the modular underground arch structure with 10m, 15m, and 20m spans was evaluated using this method. In addition, structural safety and behavioral changes of the modular underground arch by backfill height and rise ratio were analyzed.
