In this thesis, the limitations and practical improvement proposals of the currently used integrated grounding method of earth resistance measurement were presented. According to the potential drop method, it is recommended to separate more than 80m from the earth electrode in consideration of the error rate. Being more than 80m away from the site is realistically subject to many restrictions. In this paper to check whether the ground resistance value falls within the error range while reducing the separation distance through measurement, an integrated grounding demonstration test facility was first established, and a comprehensive earth resistance meter and a multi-function measuring instrument were used to repeatedly measure the earth resistance of auxiliary poles by equipment and by distance. Through the measurement, it was proved that separating by 50m was within the error range by distance proposed in the potential drop method when it comes to the current auxiliary electrode. In addition, through analysis of the measurement data, it was confirmed that the ground resistance cannot be measured properly if the ground resistance is measured depending on the auxiliary earth electrode installed in the field where the location of the auxiliary earth electrode installed on the site is unknown. It was concluded that a partial examination was necessary. The results of this paper are expected to be used as important basic data for realistic and safe earth resistance measurement in the future.
