본 논문은 BLDC 모터 드라이버의 스위칭 소자의 고장 진단 방법을 제안한다. 대표적인 기존 진단 방법으로는 3상에 흐르는 상전류를 측정하는 방법이 있다. 본 논문에서는 BLDC 모터 직접 토크 제어 시 상전류 정보가 필요 없음을 식과 제어 시스템 회로를 통해 보이고, 불필요한 상전류 측정 시스템 없이 인버터로 공급되는 직류 전류만을 이용해 진단하는 방법을 제안한다. 제안된 알고리즘은 진단에 있어서 회로 디버깅이나 진단 시스템을 추가하기 위한 모터 인버터 회 로의 수정의 수고를 덜어주고 전원 회로의 전류 측정만으로 진단을 가능하게 한다. 제안된 시스템의 타당성을 확인하기 위해 본 연구에서는 스위칭 소자의 개방성 고장과 열화성 고장에 대한 실험을 진행하였다. IGBT 개방 및 병렬 저 항을 이용한 모터 드라이버의 개방성 고장 및 열화 동작을 실험을 통하여 시스 템의 효용성을 보였다. 두가지 고장에 대한 구동 및 전류 특성을 실험을 통해 보이고 문제점을 고찰하였다. 추가적으로 본 시스템의 진단 결과는 점수화 과 정을 통해 사용자가 실시간으로 고장 결과를 확인할 수 있도록 구성하였다.
